An Introduction

I arrived on the Discworld for the first time in the year 1999. A friend and fellow PTerry fan led me there. There was a newbie area, everything was confusing and I hardly knew what I was doing.

Nonetheless I found the Thieves Guild, joined and played a few times but didn't get into it very far. A year ago (2008) my girlfriend and I got bored from playing Age of Empires against each others and we were looking for an alternative. We tried some graphic games, flash based, but nothing gave us the kick.

Suddenly I remembered hey, the Disc, is it still there? It sure was.

We registered, played and stayed. I have characters in all guilds, my girlfriend sticks to magic and headology and therefore plays a witch and a mage.

It was surprising! The old newbie area was replaced by the nice Pumpkin Town. You could train your skills there and get used to the gameplay. Helpfiles, newbiechannel, funny room descriptions, decent maps.

So join in, create a character and have fun with a lot of crazy, funny, grumpy, helpful, helpless, nice, flirtous, loud, silent, and so on players. And get lost in the magic world of Terry Pratchett, where almost everything is possible.

Yours sincerly, Dweezz
